Red Horizon Events Pty Ltd is a full-service event management company. Our aim is to provide top quality expertise and focused resources for the effective management of business conventions, conferences and special events in Perth and throughout Australia.
Red Horizon Events brings together all the elements required to deliver a successful business event end to end, including; project management and planning, marketing and promotion, sponsorship strategy and development, venue sourcing and management, logistics, delegate and speaker management, audio/visual, registration and database management, budgets, finances, evaluation and reporting.
The company was formed out of a partnership between Jan Bryson and Rebecca Taplin. Both partners have been in the IT Industry for over 15 years and have developed a passion and enthusiasm for Event Management managing a number of large scale special events over the past 6 years.
Jan Bryson
Jan Bryson is a qualified Project Manager holding a Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). She is also the Events Director on the PMI Board of Directors in WA. PMI is a US based qualification applicable globally and represented in all countries including WA.
Jan has a depth of expertise in the management of many different types of projects requiring strong customer focus, high levels of creativity and exceptional people management skills. She has worked in various roles in both the Finance and IT Industries.
Rebecca Taplin
Rebecca has worked in the IT Industry in both Sales, Marketing and Business Development roles for the past 15 years. She has strong expertise in business development strategy and the creation and execution of marketing programs. Rebecca Taplin holds both an MBA and a Post Grad Marketing degree from Edith Cowan University and graduated as the top MBA graduate for her year. Rebecca is also an active committee member for the Meeting and Events Association (MEA) in Western Australia and and holds the position of Co-Chair for Networking.
Since 2002, Jan and Rebecca have been working as Event Managers with the Women are IT (WA) Inc group to successfully create, plan, promote and deliver Go Girl, Go For I.T. a special educational event for up to 2500 female students in Perth, Western Australia. This event is held bi-annually as a 2 day Careers Education Showcase involving 25 speakers, over 50 schools, 10 trade stands and 21 sponsors. The third Go Girl Go for I.T. Event was successfully completed on March 6 and 7th 2006.
Stephanie Barnett
Stephanie Barnett joined Red Horizon Events as a Project Coordinator having completed a Diploma of Event Management, which helped to establish her core business and promotional skills to take events from conception through to staging.
Stephanie has a committed attitude to building strong client relationships and has a depth of event co-ordination experience through her involvement with MEA and other West Australian conference organisers.
