The Mining Grad Connect is a practical and engaging way for your organisation to reach undergraduate mining students (disciplines: Geophysical and Geotechnical Engineers, Mining Engineers and Metallurgy and Mineral Process Engineers) before they enter the labour market. It is also a fabulous opportunity to catch up and network with industry colleagues and the WA Mining Club are delighted to be your hosts for the evening!

During pre-dinner drinks and over a 3 course dinner you will have the opportunity to meet with undergradutate students, representing major educational institutions across Perth. Given the less formal nature of this event, Grad Connect really affords your organisation the time and opportunity to develop closer relationships, assisting you to make better recruitment decisions. WA  Mining Club

The West Australian Mining Club was formed in Perth in 1972 by industry professionals who felt there was a need for regular interaction at a social and technical level for a wider cross section of industry people than was catered for at the time.

WAMC’s major aim is to assist the advancement of WA’s mining industry:

• By promoting and encouraging the dissemination of information among people employed by the industry, and;
• By arranging for technical discussion groups and lectures involving experts in the various fields of mineral and oil exploration, extraction, processing and marketing.
• By offering mining student scholarships each year to help students continue their studies

The current membership includes representatives from all facets of mining and associated industries. It holds regular monthly luncheon meetings during which members can mix socially and listen to guest speakers present information on topics of interest to the industry.
